Sanjay Lavakare transitioned from a 16-year career in IT to pursue painting full-time. His latest artwork is influenced by the distinctive features of Koramangala, inspired by conversations with local residents. Initially part of Bengaluru's IT scene, Sanjay discovered his true passion for art and chose to dedicate himself to it. Despite being offered a sabbatical by his company, he opted to focus on art permanently. An attendee of the annual Chithra Santhe, he discusses his most recent piece capturing the essence of Koramangala. Collaborating with neighbors from L Street, like Ashish and Ritu, Sanjay incorporated 50-60 unique elements specific to the neighborhood into the artwork, some of which are easily recognizable while others require more interpretation.
